Highly recommend this place for folks who are into korean spicy foods!
This place is probably one of the most famous eateries in Mangwon-dong.
I would say I'm a regular customer of this place since I had visited here many times throughout several years.
Mangwon Udong is kinda becoming the representative of Korean style udong named 'Pojang-macha Udong'.
Pojang-macha means a vendor in a street or other public places that serves Korean comfort food or market food.
Pojang-macha at night mostly serves soju and beer as well, with pairing korean food.

These days, Pojang-macha is hard to find on streets.
So that's why Mangwon Udong became so famous among koreans who miss the Pojang-macha vibes with good food!
(By the way, if you want a real pojang-macha experience, go visit Eulji-ro. (Metro: Jongno 3(sam)-ga station)
Eulji-ro is a hot spot full of hipsters, with a plenty of pojang-machas.)

But it's not gonna take too long as you expected for your turn,
cuz this place has a dining time limit of 55 mins.

Mangwon Udong has Udong and Pork Cutlet(Ton-katsu) menu.
If you want an udong with fish cakes, order an Uh Mook Udong. (Uh Mook means fish cake.)
Udong is basically a combination of udong noodle with warm anchovy broth and spicy sauce on top.

This spiciness.. it's sooooo good!!
Don't worry. It's not crazy spicy as Fire noodle or Yupdduk.
You can also choose a spice level. Spicier, medium spicy, less spicy.
I've actually dreamed of the moment of drinking soju with this udong.
Finally I made it and it was exactly like what I've thought!!
I mean, udong, pork cutlet, and soju blends so well.
Warm broth of udong gets rid of bitter taste of soju.
Pork cutlet will give you an umami flavor and a sweetness of its sauce.
I've never seen a single foreigner here.
It's so famous among locals but not well-known among travelers.
